Nitric Acid Ex Belgia, Hno3, Asam Nitrit
Nitric acid (molecular formula HNO2) is both a monobasic acid and a weak acid known to exist only as a solution and in the form of a nitrite salt.
Nitric acid is used to make diazides from amines; this occurs through the nucleophilic attack of the amine on the nitrite, repontation by the surrounding solvent, and the double elimination of water. Diazides can then be ignited to produce carbenes or carbenoids.
