Gliserin, Glycerol, Glicerin, Glycerine.
Glycerol (English: glycerol, glycerin, glycerine) is the simplest glyceride compound, with the hydroxyl being hydrophilic and hygroscopic. Glycerol is a component that composes various kinds of lipids, including triglycerides. Glycerol tastes sweet when tasted, and is considered non-toxic.
Glycerol can be obtained from the saponification process of animal fats, transesterification of biodiesel fuel production and the epichlorohydrin process[1] as well as cooking oil processing.
